About me

Unsewn Heartland is an anagram of my name, which my friend Jonathan found through an anagram generator. It doesn’t mean anything per se, but I instantly thought it was a great artist name.

Ever since I was little, I have dreamed of becoming a singer. In the spring of 2014, I joined a songwriting course and met the wonderful producer Natalie Knutzen. I managed to write one song – Fragments – which since then has been waiting to be finished in production. I finally asked Natalie if she wanted to finish it and she agreed. Along with her colleague Jack Elphick, the musicians Nikko Harrison and Juan Patricio Mendoza, I am proud to have a finished song which will be released on April 3rd, 2019.

In June 2017, I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Chemo and stem cell transplant successfully finished in September 2017, right before my 37th birthday. I then received a new diagnosis in November 2018; a tumor in my heart induced by the AML.

Read my blog and/or listen to my music, hopefully I will have the time to finish a lot more of the latter.
